SAY WHAT?

SAY WHAT?

By Rick Mathes

1 Corinthians 1:18 (NASB77) 18  For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

There is only one God, one faith, one baptism and of course only one cross that matters. This message the Cross had nailed to the top was “King of the Jews” and the message that was nailed to our Savior was “It is finished!” The message for both certainly includes for the church having the same message that Jesus died for our salvation if only we will accept it.

You cannot remain clean while you hang out with dirty people. They will rub off on you if you get too close. Sin pollutes and infects all it touches with certain death. That’s a message that is very clear!

Satan believed he had killed the Son of God and many today still believe the same thing. When you walk into his dominated churches, you can smell the formaldehyde. You just know that there is a dead body in there somewhere.

The message of unforgiven sin is guilt. The first thing you must do is ask Jesus for forgiveness. Jesus, of course, will extend forgiveness to a sincere repentance. If you feel guilty, you haven’t repented and left that sin at the cross. If you are forgiven and there is no more guilt, the proof is that you will become a forgiver even to those you most avoid forgiving.

The cross is empty and so is the tomb. The curse has been lifted for the elect but remains on the Satanists: those that refuse Christ. (What else would you call them?) God’s wrath is building and like a balloon at its breaking point, it is about to be unleashed like a blow-torch down the throats of those that pledge allegiance to Caesar: the devil.

Death is certain to follow every living soul but not dead. There is no dead. All creation is continuous action. You are either living in glory or dying in flames the moment you breath your last.

Your only salvation is the Cross of the Savior and His atonement for your sins. It’s called propitiation: say what? That means, your sins were laid on Him and His righteousness is on you.
