JUDGMENTAL

JUDGEMENTAL

By Rick Mathes

Have you ever accused someone of being judgmental? I have and I’m sure you have too. They have a constructed a cosmos according to them and if you don’t fit into their “world view” they correct and rebuke you, unsolicited. This appears to most as rude and sarcastic, better than thou, which is usually a correct evaluation of their obnoxious behavior. Who invited them into my space to critic me and make me feel inferior? Best just to avoid “judgmental” troublemakers and move on unaffected by them talking down their nose to us, don’t you agree?

A friend of over 30 years recommended that his wife, the head nurse of the local hospital recommend a physician that specializes in heart disease. I was having an awful time with my blood pressure, dizziness, shortness of breath and sensed a heavy weight pushing down on my chest. I was a walking heart-attack looking for a place to happen. She insisted that he was the finest in the state and provided me a long resume that convinced me to put my trust in hi.

Well there is one such person I purposely visit every three months to have diagnose what he feels my physical condition is in, my physician.  He does not like when I self-diagnose through the internet before my scheduled visit. In fact, I think this insults him and his profession of medicine and lifetime commitment to keep me well and long living.

His approach is direct, concise and final. I can of course always get a second or third opinion and with most M.D.’s this is standard fare. I have had over 25 years of his expertise and specialty, my heart. I have listened to his every word and have followed his diagnosis and prescription for my good heath to the “T.” I trust him completely for my longevity.

I am a Doctor of Divinity. I size up your spiritual condition and make a recommendation for your continued good spiritual health, especially if you are on your way to death and hell. This is my profession I have worked over 35 years to perfect. I have thousands of healthy patients that highly recommend me as your evangelist minister, I am judgmental.

Every minister that is called of God to save souls and make disciples is judgmental, that is he diagnoses your disease and prescribes a medicine or recommendation for you to live a healthy life forever. This is the nature of my profession.

My doctor, bless his heart, doesn’t stop people on the street and diagnose that they are dying of spiritual cancer but I do. I can see through others like I am looking through Saran Wrap and I can’t shut up!

I am judgmental.

THE DAY DRAWS NEAR

THE DAY DRAWS NEAR

By Rick Mathes

Three score and more than ten is a long time to live and see the future become the past. It was only yesterday we had a 4 inch screen on our first television and only 3 channels to watch whenever they had something to broadcast

Yes gasoline was only 27 cents a gallon an no there weren’t any Indians in my neighborhood. But I did live in the days when a neighbor would give you a spanking if you deserved it and your parents approved!

I can’t help but notice that we are living in a time we have lo st so many of our rights to live a Christian life and believe our Constitution to be on solid ground. All the branches of our government are corrupt to the core and our denominations have left the Gospel according to Jesus for strange fire, another gospel that I conclude was written with the flaming fingers of Lucifer.

Satan offered Jesus bread and Jesus refused to change the stone. The devil gives free entitlements to the poor he has caused to be dependent and he owns them. The devil tempted h to display miracles, Jesus refused and Satan has revivals from hell that dazzle everyone with false miracles and they throw money at him. The monarch of Hell offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world it Jesus would fall down and worship him. Jesus refused of course but it still left all the kingdoms in the hands of the council of Hell.

When I was in high school I wrote an essay that predicted that the author of the Rise and Fall of American was alive and collecting his notes. I think that prophecy is about to come true and for good reason.

We as a country have uprooted our Christian values and trashed the Constitution our godly founders labored so carefully over. They say “what goes around comes around.” Or as a famous preacher once said, “the chickens have come home to roost.”

Our condition is very dismal from a worldly point of view but don’t despair, our Rock of Salvation is on His way to bring prophesies of the Gospel to fruition. His will be done!

Only the Elect have a guarantee to survive the coming holocaust of God’s wrath. I have shouted from the rooftops these almost 40 years, “Repent, the Kingdom is near!” Have you listened? Have you responded? Think: killing God’s only Son with your sins is not a light matter. He is about to unleash the final retribution to those who denied His Son’s sacrifice on that bloody death stake. This is dead serious business for Him.

I can hear the hoof-beats, I can see the dust kicking up from the troops of Gabriel and Michael armed and ready for the final battle with Lucifer and his fallen angels. Unbelievers with receive the severest penalty because they are without excuse. They have heard the Word of God and gave Jesus the finger!

YOUR FERTILE GROUND

YOUTH: FERTILE GROUND

By Rick Mathes

Author of “Allah or Jesus”

2 Timothy 2:22 (NASB77) 22  Now flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

Ask yourself these four questions:

Do you have bad habits? For the sake of understanding, a bad habit is a sin againt God that habitually offends Him: of course, you too. The bad habit you have you want more than Jesus because if you didn’t want it more than you do want it, you wouldn’t have it. (Read this again.)

Do you look and linger? The look is not the sin the linger is because it will cause you to do the sin, enjoy it and be too seeped in it to repent.

Are your actions His? When others get to know you do they get to know Jesus? Sanctification is exchanging all we are for all He is.

Where is your treasure? Where your heart is, is where your treasure is. If you place it in the temporal goodies of the devil, you will see all the toys you have accumulated in your lifetime flame up around you in hell.

What are you to do:

Flee from lusts. Your eyes are the entry level for the devil.

Follow righteousness: only Jesus is righteous.

Avoid foolish questions: some things only God the Creator knows.

Do not strive with men: press on with heavenly angels around you.

Be gentle with all men: put forward an open fist of peace.

Be apt to teach: don’t perish for lack of knowledge.

Be patient: we have ll of forever to reach any objective.

Restore rebels: never give up because you were once one.

The Bible is the launching pad fr all that is pleasing to our Lord so take heed that if you can’t find and answer within its pages, you don’t have a question. Aim your efforts at righteousness, faith, love and peace. This is not an impossible task because these targets are well within the range of our Lord’s agenda.

Our Lord lived His life to establish the landmarks of holy living and the pursuit of righteousness in Him. There is no mistaking what His clear objectives were and there is no misunderstanding His principles of godly living. Put your toys away an grown up!
